THE LINES \ THE CODE \ THE MACHINE

I had the opportunity to buy an old Risograph GR1750 stencilling machine from 1995. The machine had been formerly used in a printing office. Over time, the machine had developed its own unique little flaws. By stencilling multiple times on a piece of paper, these flaws became more visible and reveal a hidden characteristic; the machine it's own unique spirit. By using the imperfections of the machine as a creative tool, each time a print gets made, the result is a little bit different. The redundancy of the machine becomes an opportunity for creative exploration.
